Jennifer MacPherson

Partner

Ms. MacPherson is a partner in the Consumer litigation department at Crosner Legal. For over two decades, Ms. MacPherson has fought to protect the rights of consumers, employees and citizens from corporate and government negligence, misconduct, and malfeasance through complex class action litigation. Ms. MacPherson believes there are times when litigation on behalf of the many to challenge systematic wrongdoing by those in power is necessary to effectuate positive change.

The nature of her work requires in-depth knowledge of an ever-evolving legal and corporate landscape. This is reflected in the variety of cases Ms. MacPherson has been instrumental in litigating over the years. These include false and deceptive advertising of consumer goods and services, sale of dangerous and defective vehicles, failure to disclose subscription and renewal fees, sale of sham health insurance, the failure to adequately secure personal/medical information, and whistleblower actions, among others. Many of these resulted in settlements that provided class members with significant monetary and non-monetary benefits such as Ivo Kolar v. CSI Financial Services LLC, No. 37-2021-00030426 (San Diego Sup. Ct.) (data breach settlement); Harbour, et el. v. California Health & Wellness Plan, et al., No. 5:21-cv-03322-EJD (N.D. Cal.) (data breach settlement); Huntzinger v. Suunto Oy, et al., No. 37-2018-00027159-CU-BT-CTL (San Diego Sup. Ct.) (defective dive computer settlement); Pulkrabek, et al. v. Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc., No. 2:20-cv-00036-JRG-RSP (E.D. Tex.) (defective vehicle settlement).

Ms. MacPherson received her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1997 and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business and Marketing from the University of Hawaii in 1994. During law school she was a summer law clerk to the Honorable Walter S. Kirimitsu (Ret.) in the Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals and was a research assistant to Professor C. Hugh Friedman, author of California Practice Guide: Corporations. She is a member of the California Bar and is licensed to practice before all the United States District Courts in California. Ms. MacPherson is the daughter of a United States Marine and after many moves ultimately settled in San Diego, California.
