Kurt is an associate with the firm, with a practice focusing primarily on consumer protection and false advertising litigation. The bulk of Kurt’s legal career has focused on representing classes of individual consumers against large corporations in cases involving unfair business practices.
Cases on which Kurt has performed significant work include: In Re: Philips Recalled CPAP, Bi-Level Pap, and Mechanical Ventilator Products Litigation., No. 2:21-mc-01230 (W.D. Pa.) (MDL action involving defective products where a $479 million settlement was reached); Torch v. Windsor Surry Company, No. 3:17-CV-00918-AA (D. Ore.) (settled class action involving defective siding); McCarthy v. Toyota Motor Corp., et al., 8:18-cv-00201 (C.D. Cal.) (settled class action involving Prius vehicles with a $20 million settlement fund); and Morrison v. Ross Stores, Inc., No. 4-18-cv-02671-YGR (N.D. Cal.) (settled false labeling matter and achieved injunctive relief for nationwide class).
Kurt graduated in May of 2019 from The George Washington University Law School, where he was involved in the Federal Communications Law Journal.
