These Terms of Use apply to crosnerlegal.com and to any other website, landing page or online form that Crosner Legal operates and that links to these Terms (together, the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. Our Privacy Policy and, for Washington residents, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describe how we handle information collected through the Site.
1. The Site provides information, not legal advice
The content on the Site is general information about the law and about our firm. It is not legal advice, and it may not reflect the most current legal developments or the law of your state. Do not act or refrain from acting based on anything you read here. The law is different in every state, and the right course of action depends on your specific facts. If you have a legal question, consult a lawyer licensed in your state who has reviewed your situation.
2. Contacting us does not make you a client
Visiting the Site, filling out a form, or calling, emailing or texting us does not create an attorney-client relationship and does not obligate Crosner Legal to represent you. We become your attorneys only when both you and the firm have signed a written engagement agreement. Until then, we have not agreed to take any action on your behalf, including monitoring, calculating or preserving any deadline that applies to your claim.
Because of the volume of inquiries we receive and the specific types of cases we handle, we cannot take every matter and we do not respond to every inquiry. If you do not hear from us within ten business days of contacting us, please assume that we will not be moving forward and do not wait for us to act.
3. What to share with us, and how we treat it
When you contact us, please provide only the information our forms and intake staff request. That is what we need to check for conflicts of interest and decide whether we can help. Do not volunteer additional details about your matter until we ask for them.
We will keep the information you send us confidential and will not use it to your disadvantage. By contacting us, however, you agree that information you provide before we accept your matter will not prevent Crosner Legal from representing other clients in the same or a related matter. This allows us to evaluate inquiries from many people, including coworkers and customers of the same company, without creating conflicts.
Email and web forms are convenient but not fully secure. If you need to send us sensitive documents, call us and we will provide a secure method.
4. Where we practice
Crosner Legal represents workers and consumers in cases across the United States. Our attorneys are licensed in California, Washington, Oregon, Illinois and New York, and we maintain offices in California, Washington, Oregon and Illinois. In other states, we handle matters together with locally licensed attorneys and with the court’s permission to appear, and we will explain how your matter would be staffed before you decide whether to hire us. We may also refer matters we cannot handle to other law firms; if we do, we will tell you, and any fee-sharing arrangement will be disclosed to you in writing as the applicable rules require.
Information on the Site about laws, verdicts or settlements may describe rules that apply in some states and not others. Do not assume the same rules apply, or the same result would occur, in your state.
5. Deadlines matter
Every legal claim has a filing deadline, called a statute of limitations, and some claims also require a government complaint or notice before a lawsuit can be filed. For wage, discrimination and consumer claims, these deadlines vary by state and can be as short as a few months. A claim filed too late is lost no matter how strong it is. Contacting us does not stop any deadline. If you believe your rights were violated, consult a lawyer promptly. Most state bar associations operate a lawyer referral service that can help you find counsel, including the State Bar of California (calbar.ca.gov), the Washington State Bar Association (wsba.org), the Oregon State Bar (osbar.org), the Illinois State Bar Association (isba.org), and the Colorado Bar Association (cobar.org).
6. Attorney advertising

7. Results, testimonials and fees
Every case is different. The results described on the Site depend on the facts of those cases and do not predict or guarantee the outcome of yours. We handle most cases on a contingent fee basis, which means we are paid a percentage of the recovery and nothing if there is no recovery. How fees and costs are handled depends on the type of case and is set out in the written fee agreement you sign with us before we begin work. Nothing on the Site is an offer to represent you on any particular terms.
8. Photographs and third-party content
Attorneys shown on the Site are Crosner Legal attorneys or attorneys acting as of counsel to the firm. Other people shown in photographs or videos are models or stock images, not clients. Company names, product names and trademarks that appear on the Site belong to their owners and are used only to identify the companies and products involved in the matters we describe; their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.
The Site links to other websites for your convenience. We do not control those sites, do not endorse their content, and are not responsible for their privacy practices or accuracy. Use them at your own risk.
9. Using the Site
You may view, download and print content from the Site for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, scrape or redistribute Site content for any other purpose, use the Site to send spam or unlawful content, or attempt to interfere with the Site’s operation or security. Court filings reproduced on the Site are public records and may be used as such.
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos and the Crosner Legal name and logo, is owned by Crosner Legal or used with permission and is protected by copyright and trademark law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they were last revised. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
